(on cellular devices scroll all the way down to submit application)
The ZenLife School of Yoga is a Vinyasa Yoga school, heart and breath focused, with an emphasis in safe alignment, yogic principles, and energy. The beauty of Vinyasa Flow is its creative elegance. The practice is constantly evolving spiritually, mentally and physically. Vinyasa Flow synchronizes breath with movement. It offers a balance of strength and flexibility, linking each pose and each step together in a continuous flow with purpose and intention. Vinyasa Yoga gently reminds us that every step we take is life unfolding, and where you are is exactly where you are supposed to be, so move lovingly, compassionately, with power and with grace.
Compassion, proper alignment, and energetic power, combined with a deep awareness that you as a practitioner are always collaborating with something higher than yourself, are some of the key components of Vinyasa Yoga. The result -- feeling satisfied and whole, reconnecting the mind, body and spirit, unveiling the truest expression of you, reducing suffering, increasing connections to others, and ultimately lifting the vibe both visibly and experientially on and off the mat. Vinyasa Yoga awakens the authentic truest you, and evokes creativity and power so you can meet each challenge in life. Our mission is to maintain the integrity of Yoga as it was handed down to us, to share our love for the artful expression of Vinyasa Yoga specifically, and to pass along this centuries-old discipline.
The ZenLife system mirrors the grace of Vinyasa Yoga by encouraging personal growth in our staff and community. ZenLife is rooted in the Yamas and Niyamas in its business operations. ZenLife recognizes the evolving needs of our community and is always open to new ideas and program development. We are not rigid in our beliefs and do not believe in one way to do Yoga. Yoga is yoga.
The curriculum includes an immersion into the principles of technique and alignment, pranayama, meditation, physical and energetic anatomy and physiology, Aryuveda, Chinese medicine, Kirtan, teaching methodology, yoga philosophy, hands on adjustments, the business of yoga, reiki and more. We offer the heart and soul of yoga both on and off the mat to improve your life, bringing about peaceful, courageous, compassionate and light-filled living into the world. Yoga truly means to unite, and through our friendly community, we connect to our highest selves and to each other, creating a home and a Kula where you belong.
Dena's background in psychology, yoga, meditation and reiki combined with a faculty of experts in anatomy, Ayurveda, nutrition, sequencing, Chinese medicine, and kirtan offer an enriched educational experience unique to ZenLife School of Yoga.

Stephanie studied under Lindsay Lusignea at the Red Lila School of Yoga. She loves the moving meditation that yoga provides, the connection between breath and movement that brings us out of our heads and into the present moment. She has taught in many studios, and is in high demand for private yoga sessions. She has participated in several 200/ 500hr yoga teacher training programs, including Yogaworks, MD, University of Maryland, Gogo Guru and Yoga Tree and specializes in the anatomy of movement.
Katie is well known in the Baltimore and DC complementary and alternative medicine community; she attends numerous trainings and seminars every year and brings the best of these modalities to her yoga instruction. What makes Katie’s teaching so unique and sought-after is her understanding of how yoga and physical therapy share many therapeutic principles. She finds joy in creating functional fitness programs through yoga that address individual-specific training and rehabilitation goals. Treating injured athletes, highly involved neurological patients, and Baby Boomers facing the challenges of aging alike – Katie is adept at bridging the gap between yoga and integrative medicine. A gifted teacher, she excels at explaining health and healing in a way that is accessible, enjoyable, and has the benefit of being rooted in the best that contemporary research has to offer. She was recently published in the Yogic Way magazine.
Katie believes in putting the responsibility and power of one’s health back into a person’s own hands. Skilled at functional anatomy, she will teach you how not only to do asana on the mat, but to bring healthy movement to every aspect of life.
