Jo-z did yoga for her first time back when she was going to Grateful Dead concerts and did it off and on for many years. In 2009, her practice really changed when her mother died suddenly and not knowing where else to turn, she came back to her mat to find comfort. She realized the healing powers of yoga, not just physically and what yoga really meant to her. In 2016, she became a RYT-200. Jo-z had taken YTT, not to teach, but to learn more and to deepen her practice. During training, she soon realized, that to teach would be an amazing way to share the effects of yoga on the mind, body & spirit on and off of the mat with others. Jo-z teaches from her heart and loves to hold space for those around her. She believes that being truly present in the moment for one another can have dramatic effects.
